Jimmy Coberly

Jimmy Coberly is a senior at GlenOak High School in Canton, Ohio. He has been taking lessons from various teachers at Zampino’s since age six. Jimmy will be attending Berklee College of Music in the Fall to major in Professional Music. Some of his accomplishments in the music world are: Playing with Grammy Award Winner Kim Nazarrian, The University of Minnesota, and performing at “The Gold Company Invitational” all four years in high school. He also was the section leader of the drum line at GlenOak his junior and senior years, as well as a member of his high school jazz band for the first three years of high school. “I woke up one morning and thought to myself; ‘Music is what I want to do for the rest of my life.’ I have been playing and preparing myself ever since.” He says that the only thing he will miss while away at college is, “The fun atmosphere of the Drum Shop!”

Nick Kopko

Nick Kopko is a senior at Hoover High School in North Canton, OH. He began playing drums and taking private lessons in the 4th grade. Nick plans on attending Ohio University in the fall and majoring in Music Education. He is currently the section leader of the symphonic band at his school. Nick has participated in marching band, full orchestra, pep band and percussion ensemble all four years in high school. He has also played in the pit orchestra and jazz band for three years. After college, Nick hopes to become a high school band director somewhere in Ohio.
